1.) The casual observer is generally unable to pick out the “top” athletes in a boat.  Rowing is a true team sport.

2.) Rowing provides a full-body workout.  (It’s more legs and less arms than you think.)

3.) While there is an element of indoor training, rowing is an outdoor sport.

4.) Rowing has classical and historical importance.

5.) Rowing is a growing sport, with new members joining from all backgrounds.
